+Keyword research
+Create Campagins
+Create Text ads
+Create Adgroups
+Bid Management/Bid Editing
+Deep Link Keywords

I can use adwords editor and google adwords very well.
I can use excel to distribute multiple text ads, campagins, keywords, adgroups i can run reports and plenty of other tools and functions. Does anyone know what i should be getting paid? Im on minimum wage

You should be getting paid whatever your agreement with your employer provides. If you don’t like it, then re-negotiate.

I’ve seen many ads on CraigsList.org seeking to hire CPC/PPC managers for low wages, often part-time, often seeking "interns" for free.

When the job is defined as "CPC manager" or "Paid Search Manager" or similar, I see posts on various job boards with proposed salaries that range from $30,000 to $90,000.

I also know many consultants who charge $100 to $200 per hour for "essentially the same services," but generally these consultants have substantial experience and skill. Sometimes, they have access to sophisticated software tools, some developed in house and some licensed from third parties.

A year ago, the most common arrangement I heard about (for outside consultants) was a "percentage of spend," which is ludicrous: it rewards waste and discourages efficiency. While that may still be the "dominant" model, it is fast being supplanted by other, more complex fee structures.

Use Google Suggest to create a list of targeted keywords that are related to your’ base keyword. You can then throw that into a spreadsheet to use with your adwords, SEO or related.

I am a beginner but have learned a lot about search engine optimization (SEO). We have worked on Google AdWord campaigns, Yahoo! Search Marketing, and used Google Analytics. We used a broad search as well as an industry specialized search, which has obviously been more cost effective.

I have recently submitted our company and link to multiple industry directories with higher PageRank than ours. I have used free keyword tools found in AdWords, Analytics, and Search Marketing, respectively, as well as the free tool on wordtracker.

Also, we have recently created static pages to our web site for added content. Hopefully our recent steps (directory submission, upping our bids in PPC programs, and creating content based pages) will work.

Can anyone help on ways to direct more traffic to our site? Help us maximize our ROI? We usa a dynaminc web site but want to raise our PageRank and site visits.

Thank you,

I would agree with the previous post. Make your site for people not search engines.

A few SEO tips.
A unique title tag on each page would be a plus
Don’t worry too much about your page rank. What your are after is improved rankings in the search engine results.
What keywords are you targeting? My suggestion — if you are having success with PPC then see which keywords are bringing you the most sales and then begin to optimize your site for those terms.
You should consider adding even more content to your site this will reduce code bloat. Optimal # to shoot for here is 20% of the info in your source to be code and the rest content.

Another thought…begin to optimize your site for the specific products that you offer. So that way when I go to Google and search for a specific power adapter your site will show. The way to do that is content and editing some of the other on page SEO factors like a title tag.

After using the free Google Adwords key tool on https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal I noticed that some queries were incredibly interesting or possibly way off. For instance, set the match type to EXACT as opposed to BROAD and type in the following type of query and see what happens,
"City" Homes for sale vs "City" "State Abreviation" homes for sale as in …

[Chicago Homes For Sale] vs [Chicago il homes for sale]
[san francisco homes for sale] vs [san francisco ca homes for sale]

This occurs for every other city state combo. Why?

The results that this generates is unreal, literally I think. Please explain. Ten points, and much gratitude from me.

I don’t know, sorry!

Currently trying to get keyword stats and found that Google’s Traffic Estimator Sandbox has a login preceding use of the tool.

Anyone know if this is an intentional move by Google? I wouldn’t be surprised… now they can link all search term research to Google adwords buyers!

Ideas/thoughts… am I becoming too paranoid of Google’s unyielding (desire for total) power?

Here’s my TES bookmark:

You can create a new Google account different from your Adwords account. I have a different account for accessing Google Webmaster Tools, a different one for Adwords and a different one for Blogger, and a different one for Adsense.

Some months ago.. google allowed users to ad a code to the their source page which allowed me to ‘drill’ down into a campaign I am tracking, then further into groups and then into the groups wherein I could view my keywords that are in my Google Adwords groups. From here, I could set parameter to ‘user defined’. This would allow me to see the actual keyword searches customers were typing which were linking up to my ad group keywords.
This is an amazing tool for parsing out negative keywords to ad to groups as well as new positive performing keywords to ad. I have been paying about $400 a month for a software named ClickLab. We started setting up all of our marketing campaigns to be tracked by Google Analytics: Yahoo, MSN and a host of marketing feeds = Price Graber, Google Products, Shopzilla etc.
I swear at first I could drill down to the levels described above with for all of those accounts; I had told my employer he could drop ClickLab since we now had that level of scrutiny for free through Analytics. Now.. I can only drill down into Google groups. I can now only drill down as far as group level for all non google campaigns. Furthermore.. I can no longer get ecommerce data for non google campaigns = conversion rate, revenue per conversion and conversions.

1) What’s the point of them allowing us to track other campaigns if we can’t see performance stats?
2) Is anyone out there familiar with this scenario?
3) Does anyone know how to get around to doing with my non google campaigns what I can now only do with google groups = get down to the level where I can view actual customer keyword searches?

Hi,

For non-adwords campaigns, Google analytics can only capture the data that you are passing to them by tagging your destination url’s.

For all these non-adwords campaigns, Google analytics show you the keywords customers actually typed in get to your ads. However, if you want to see the keywords you used in the campaigns and the keywords customers actually typed, so that you can figure out the negative keywords you need to use, there is a trick you can use. Refer to this page http://www.ga-experts.com/blog/2006/11/how-to-get-detailed-ppc-keyword-data-from-google-analytics/ to find out how to do this.

Here is a question. I have [specifically targeted] ads and only 2 or 3
advertising on those key words what so ever but my costs keep going up. I’m on the first ad shown position but every few days later, the bid goes up 0.20 to .25 to 0.50 to 1.20…. Why does this happen?

For certain keywords. a day later, some of my ads are not displaying, using ‘ad diagnostic tool’, I got this message:

"Although your ad is showing, its rank is not high enough to place it
on the first page of search results."
but few hrs ago, I’m on the first ad shown position. What’s the deal?!

and some keywords get the message:
‘The user is located outside your campaign’s geo-targeting area.’
but I got impressions before, why will get this message?

Anyone could help? Thanks in advance.

Hard to say without seeing it the ads and site…

But check for these things:
1. Is your page relevant?
2. Competition in your market – is anyone trying to outbid you?
3. CTR -is that good?
4. Try exact and phrase matching for these keywords and check the results.
