I’m looking at Word Tracker and Keyword Discovery. Anyone think one is better than the other? Any others that might be better for the cost?

Wordtracker is the best, and is the one I use.

If you want a general idea of what keywords to use, you can use the keyword tool in Google AdWords. It’s free and not really that extensive, but it will give you an idea of what people are searching for, as well as related search terms.

I agree with the first answer you got. There are several other options too, such as keyword elite which you would buy one-time rather than pay an monthly or yearly fee.

I am part of an affiliate training program that offers keyword tools as part of the training. I find that it works well too because it aggregates searches from several sources. There are other benefits of course. I’ve posted links to both these sources below.

    All the best,
    Anthony

I personally find Wordtracker to be the most reliable, and their numbers to be the most accurate. Because it is free, the Google AdWords Keyword Tool can be a good place to start. But their numbers tend to trend quite high, and can be unrealistic.

It is important to remember to treat these tools not as definite traffic numbers, but as trending tools to see which keywords are more highly searched.
